Church Buildings as Twin Towers of Babel

Do not trust in deceptive words, saying, 'This is the temple of the Lord, he temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.' - Jeremiah 7:4

The Church, the true Church, must learn to travel light. She cannot be dependent upon buildings, the hands of men. She may use them strictly for functional utilitarian purposes. She may not invest in brick and mortar beyond measure. What measure? Where man's flesh is gratified and reflected in man-pleasing eyes. "For the Most High dwells not in temples made with hands." Do not allow your buildings to become "Towers of Babel" or "Twin Towers" in your heart. Do not cause people to become dependent on your buildings, for the people will surely be destroyed along with them when they are taken down by the hands of men. Do not worship your buildings as a subtle form of idolatry, for surely, "where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Do not glory in your buildings, not even the ministries associated with them, "for His glory He will not give to another," and "like a vapor," they shall vanish.

Rather, make yourselves ready as the Children of Israel did the night before The Exodus, "having a rod in your hand and sandals upon your feet." The time is coming when your buildings will be no more. Therefore, make yourselves ready before the time, before it is too late to escape the buildings' collapse. Invest in the "living stones" and learn to function apart from human flesh and organization, with Christ as the Head, led by the Holy Spirit. Learn to travel light, brethren. Learn to travel light. And let us begin to learn it now, while there is yet time.

Fred got this word years back, but just posting now.  It really confirms lots the Lord has shown me for days ahead.  I like what he says about INVESTING IN LIVING STONES. Also recently the Lord told me those exact words about TRAVELING LIGHT !  So when I got this, knew it was right on.  Years ago God showed me we would HAVE to meet in homes due to persecution and even change meeting places week to week.   This was maybe 18 years ago when I was a fairly new Christian.  Amazingly then tonight on TBN was someone who has done this in a powerful way - Francis Chan.
