IN THAT DAY - Part 2

Jer 49:22 NKJV   Behold, He shall come
up and fly like the eagle, and spread His
wings over Bozrah; The heart of the mighty
men of Edom in that day shall be like the
heart of a woman in birth pangs.

Bozrah means an enclosure, a sheepfold (a city of Edom) in other words - His people will be sheltered in the shadow of His wings in that day, though we live among those in the world.  He will protect us, but the heart of the mighty men of Edom [remember Edom stands for the sons of Esau] shall be like the heart of a woman in birth pangs; which means FEARFUL.

Jer 50:30-32 NKJV   Therefore her young men shall fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day," says the LORD.  31  "Behold, I am against you, O most haughty one!" says the Lord GOD of hosts; "For your day has come, the time that I will punish you. 32 The most proud shall stumble and fall, and no one will raise him up; I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it will devour all around him."

I sure don't want to be on the wrong side in this battle, do you ?  That has been why the Lord has been saying come out from among them, be separated ,be in the world, but not OF IT.  So that you may be sheltered in the day of His wrath, in the shadow of His wings.

Ezek 29:21 NKJV 'In that day I will cause the horn of the house of Israel to spring forth, and I will open your mouth to speak in their midst. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.'

A horn speaks of strength, power, and defense - like the horn of an ox or bull.  He says HE will cause it to spring forth, His power through us. We, as the church are grafted into the vine and He will cause us to speak in their midst THEN they will know He says, that I am the Lord. He will pour out prophecy, as it says in Joel, and they will know it is the Lord.

Ezek 38:18-23 NKJV  (after the millennial reign)   "And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel," says the Lord GOD, "that My fury will show in My face. 19  For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: 'Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, 20  so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence.   The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.'
21 "I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains," says the Lord GOD. "Every man's sword will be against his brother. 22  And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23  Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the LORD." '

His judgments are always to make known Who is really in charge, Who is the creator - His love greatly provoked to jealousy.  He created us for HIMSELF, not for the world, not for the enemy, but for fellowship with Him.  We are the object of His love, but like a jealous husband, He will destroy all that keeps us from Him.  He is a JUST JUDGE. Lamentations says, He does not willingly afflict the sons of men.

Ezek 39:11-16 NKJV ( after the millennial reign is the war of Gog & Magog)

"It will come to pass in that day that I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea; and it will obstruct travelers, because there they will bury Gog and all his multitude. Therefore they will call it the Valley of Hamon Gog. 12  For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land. 13  Indeed all the people of the land will be burying them, and they will gain renown for it on the day that I am glorified," says the Lord GOD. 14  They will set apart men regularly employed, with the help of a search party, to pass through the land and bury those bodies remaining on the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make a search. 15  The search party will pass through the land; and whenever anyone sees a man's bone, he shall set up a marker by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog. 16  The name of the city will also be Hamonah. Thus they shall cleanse the land." '

Hos 2:16-23 NKJV   (Millenial Reign)
"And it shall be, in that day, "Says the LORD, "That you will call Me 'My Husband, 'And no longer call Me 'My Master,' 17  For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, and they shall be remembered by their name no more. 18  In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, with the birds of the air, and with the creeping things of the ground.  Bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth, to make them lie down safely.
19 "I will betroth you to Me forever; yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy;  20  I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, and you shall know the LORD.
21  "It shall come to pass in that day that I will answer," says the LORD;  "I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth. 22  The earth shall answer with grain, with new wine, and with oil; they shall answer Jezreel.  23  Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth, and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; Then I will say to those who were not My people, 'You are My people!' and they shall say, 'You are my God!' "

This is the most beautiful promise .The Bridegroom will come, and we will be betrothed to Him forever, and call Him "my husband".  We will receive full righteousness, justice and lovingkindness of the Lord.   He will break our chains and set us free in the twinkling of an eye we will be transformed by His glory. Jezreel means " God will sow".  He will sow for Himself righteousness, lovingkindness, etc.

Joel 3:18 NKJV   ( NOW)
And it will come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; A fountain shall flow from the house of the LORD and water the Valley of Acacias.

This is an impending promise for end times.  The mountains will drip with new wine, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, and His ways.  He has saved the best wine for last , Jesus said, and we are the recipients of that best wine.  We will be transformed and it will usher in a an apostolic age.  Though the enemy will fight, a fountain of Holy Spirit power will flow from the house of the Lord and water the earth and the end times harvest will be gathered.

Amos 2:14-15 NKJV   Therefore flight shall perish from the swift, the strong shall not strengthen his power, nor shall the mighty deliver himself; 15  He shall not stand who handles the bow, the swift of foot shall not escape, nor shall he who rides a horse deliver himself.  16  The most courageous men of might shall flee naked in that day," Says the LORD.

The judgments of the Lord are swift and sure, no one will be able to escape them, even the most courageous of men will fear in that day. God will take vengeance on the enemy of our souls

Amos 8:3-14  NKJV And the songs of the temple shall be wailing in that day, "Says the Lord GOD--"Many dead bodies everywhere, they shall be thrown out in silence." 4  Hear this, you who swallow up the needy, and make the poor of the land fail,  5  Saying: "When will the New Moon be past, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may trade wheat? Making the ephah small and the shekel large, falsifying the scales by deceit, 6  That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals--even sell the bad wheat?"

Is this true circumstance for now or what ?  The greed in America is catastrophic, and the Lord says, there will be weeping and wailing for the usury: the cheating and falsifying of scales, for the disdain of the poorer of the land.

Amos 8:7 The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob:  "Surely I will never forget any of their works. 8  Shall the land not tremble for this, and everyone mourn who dwells in it?  All of it shall swell like the River, heave and subside like the River of Egypt.

These last two images sure are familiar swell like the river; have we not had floods ? And the land will heave and subside like the River of Egypt.  That is exactly how an earthquake is.  The land heaves and it comes in waves.  If you have never been in an earthquake - our swimming pool, if you looked outside during one, it looked like
it was going back and forth, and the water was like waves on the sea !
We are in the end time groanings.

Amos 8:9  "And it shall come to pass in that day," says the Lord GOD,  "That I will make the sun go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in broad daylight; 10  I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation;  I will bring sackcloth on every waist, and baldness on every head; I will make it like mourning for an only son, and its end like a bitter day. 11  "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord GOD, "That I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. 12  They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, but shall not find it.

This is the day of the Lord's vengeance on the nations.  He will turn our feasts into mourning, our songs into lamentation, poverty and bitterness of soul, famine of hearing from the Lord.  Remember the scripture that says, Seek Me while I may be found ?  He will not be found in this day of tribulation, people will search, finally realizing their folly, but they will not find Him.

13 "In that day the fair virgins and strong young men shall faint from thirst. 14  Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, who say,  'As your god lives, O Dan! 'And,  'As the way of Beersheba lives!'  They shall fall and never rise again."

There will be famine and death, and who are those who swear by the sin of  Samaria?  Samaria was filled with idolatry to Baal.  Baal worship included every form of perversion.  The phallic symbol was common on the walls of their temples and places of worshipping Baal.

SAMARIA
During all this time it was the seat of idolatry (Isa 9:9; Jer 23:13; Ezek 16:46-55; Amos 6:1; Mic 1:1). There Ahab built a temple to Baal (1 Kings 16:32-33; cf. 2 Kings 10:35). On the other hand, it was the scene of the ministry of the prophets Elijah and Elisha (which see). Jehu broke down the temple of Baal but does not appear to have otherwise injured the city (10:18-28). (comment from bible dictionary)

Obadiah 8-21 NKJV    "Will I not in that day," says the LORD, "Even destroy the wise men from Edom, and understanding from the mountains of Esau?  9  Then your mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that everyone from the mountains of Esau  may be cut off by slaughter.
In Gen 36:8 Esau is equated with Edom as dwelling in Mt. Seir; and he is described as the father of Edom (verse 9, Hebrew). The name however is probably much older. (from International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia, Electronic Database Copyright (c)1996 by Biblesoft)

He will destroy understanding from the mountains of Esau....mountains represent authorities and Arabs are the sons of Esau.   Teman was an Edomite city and one of it's roots means  OT:3225
yamiyn (yaw-meen'); from OT:3231; the right hand or side (leg, eye) of a person  or other object (as the stronger and more dexterous); locally, the south: KJV-+ left-handed, right (hand, side), south.
This gives the connotation that those who are STRONG in Edom will be dismayed so that everyone it says, from the mountains of Esau may be cut off by slaughter,
and below is why...

10 "For violence against your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off forever. 11  In the day that you stood on the other side--In the day that strangers carried captive his forces, when foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem--even you were as one of them. 12  But you should not have gazed on the day of your brother in the day of his captivity; nor should you have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction;  Nor should you have spoken proudly in the day of distress. 13  You should not have entered the gate of My people in the day of their calamity.  Indeed, you should not have gazed on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity. 14  You should not have stood at the crossroads to cut off those among them who escaped; nor should you have delivered up those among them who remained in the day of distress.
15 "For the day of the LORD upon all the nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you; your reprisal shall return upon your own head. 16 For as you drank on my holy mountain, so shall all the nations drink continually; Yes, they shall drink, and swallow, and they shall be as though they had never been.

17  "But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. 18 The house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame; but the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, and no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau, "For the LORD has spoken.

How is that for a promise?  Jacob shall be a fire and Joseph a flame.  Now Who is known as the Consuming FIRE?  God Himself will inhabit Israel.  It also says in Jeremiah,  He will be a fire around us and the glory in our midst.

19  The South shall possess the mountains of Esau, and the Lowland shall possess Philistia. They shall possess the fields of Ephraim And the fields of Samaria.  Benjamin shall possess Gilead. 20  And the captives of this host of the children of Israel shall possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath.  The captives of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad shall possess the cities of the South. 21  Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.

Saviors shall come to Mount Zion. Deliverers is another word for that word in the Hebrew,  shall come to judge the mountains of Esau. Interesting with what is going on now, I would say.

Micah 2:4-7 NKJV   In that day one shall take up a proverb against you, and lament with a bitter lamentation, saying:  'We are utterly destroyed!  He has changed the heritage of my people; How He has removed it from me!   To a turncoat He has divided our fields.' " 5 Therefore you will have no one to determine boundaries by lot In the assembly of the LORD. 6   "Do not prattle," you say to those who prophesy.  So they shall not prophesy to you; They shall not return insult for insult. 7  You who are named the house of Jacob: "Is the Spirit of the LORD restricted?  Are these His doings?  Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?

Now there is an admonition for the church. YOU who are named the house of Jacob, you who have been grafted in and supposedly want to hear the words of the Lord Almighty.  Will you listen to His prophets and live?  IS HIS SPIRIT RESTRICTED ?  Do not, He says, MY WORDS do good to him who is upright in heart ? Trouble is, sometimes men want to hear their own words. "Vanity, much is vanity ! " Solomon would say.  Are not the words of GOD life to our spirits ? Yet we take so lightly the Lord's presence in our midst.  We act like He is UP THERE somewhere and not standing there in our midst when we have been worshiping, as if He is far away instead of near, in our midst.  Would we be so casual if we could see Him?

Mic 4:6-13NKJV  "In that day," says the LORD,"I will assemble the lame ,I will gather the outcast and those whom I have afflicted; 7  I will make the lame a remnant, and the outcast a strong nation; so the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on, even forever.

This is one of my favorite scriptures because of the promise to those who others consider unlovely.

Lame here  OT:6760 tsala` (tsaw-lah'); a primitive root: probably to curve; used  only as denominative from OT:6763, to limp (as if one-sided): KJV-halt. ( In the King James it says her who halteth)  Sometimes if you look at the roots mentioned of the word, it gives more interesting associations  OT:6763 tsela` (tsay-law'); or (feminine) tsal` ah (tsal-aw'); from OT:6760; a rib (as curved), literally (of the body) or figuratively (of a door, i.e. leaf);   hence, a side, literally (of a person) or figuratively (of an object or the sky, i.e. quarter); architecturally, a (especially floor or ceiling) timber or plank (single or   collective, i.e. a flooring):KJV-beam, board, chamber, corner, leaf, plank, rib, side (chamber).
6760  tsala` (tsaw-lah'); a primitive root: probably to curve; used only as        denominative from OT:6763, to limp (as if one-sided):KJV-halt.

This gives the connotation of someone crippled  ( symbolically; mentally, physically, socially )

And the word outcast comes from: OT:5080  nadach (naw-dakh'); a primitive root; to push off; used in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively (to expel, mislead, strike, inflict, etc.): KJV-banish, bring, cast down (out), chase, compel,                 draw away, drive (away, out, quite), fetch a stroke, force, go away, outcast, thrust  away (out), withdraw.

Did you know that most people who join cults have been disillusioned by the church?  They've been misunderstood or cast away.

And those whom I have afflicted ...that word afflicted comes from:

OT:7489  ra` a` (raw-ah'); a primitive root; properly, to spoil (literally, by breaking to  pieces); figuratively, to make (or be) good for nothing, i.e. bad (physically, socially or morally): KJV-afflict, associate selves [by mistake for  OT:7462], break (down, in pieces), + displease, (be, bring, do) evil (doer, entreat, man), showself friendly [by mistake for OT:7462], do harm, (do) hurt,  (behaveself,  deal) ill, X indeed, do mischief, punish, still, vex, (do) wicked (doer, -ly), be (deal, do) worse.

OT:7462 ra` ah (raw-aw'); a primitive root; to tend a flock; i.e. pasture it;     intransitively, to graze (literally or figuratively); generally to rule; by extension, to associate with (as a friend): KJV-X break, companion, keep company with,   devour, eat up, evil entreat, feed, use as a friend, make friendship with, herdman, keep [sheeper]-), pastor, + shearing house, shepherd, wander, waste.

So God will take those who have been cast off and unloveable, and make them a strong nation.  Many whom the church has seen as useless and discardable, God values and uses as it says in 1 Corinthians chapter 1.

Micah 4:7 And you, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come,  even the former dominion shall come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem."

The former dominion shall come to the daughter of Zion....ushering in,  I believe,  of Pentacost power again to the church.

Micah 4:9  Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in your midst? Has your counselor perished? For pangs have seized you like a woman in labor. 10   Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in birth pangs.  For now you shall go forth from the city, you shall dwell in the field, and to Babylon you shall go. There you shall be delivered; there the LORD will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.

Is there no KING in your midst ?  Sometimes we act like it, but the KING of Kings is in our midst and HE is mighty to save. He is our counselor.  We, as the church have been in birth pangs indeed.  There is still the going forth but we will be redeemed from our enemies by the hand of the Lord.

11 Now also many nations have gathered against you, who say, "Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion." 12  But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD, Nor do they understand His counsel; For He will gather them like sheaves to the threshing floor.  13  "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hooves bronze; You shall beat in pieces many peoples; I will consecrate their gain to the LORD, And their substance to the Lord of the whole earth."

Arise and thresh He says,  Arise and thresh is a word for the church in this hour for He says, He will make our horn iron and our hooves bronze; the idea of us being His war horses in battle.  In Zechariah it says...I will make you like My horse in battle.  So he will make our hooves bronze and our horn iron...gives the connotation of crushing power and strength.  Then He says YOU SHALL BEAT IN PIECES MANY PEOPLES.  Does He mean that literally... NO !  But spiritually YES.  And their gain and substance will be consecrated to the Lord.  Many will come to the brightness of His glory and give to the Kingdom of God.

Mic 5:10-15 NKJV "And it shall be in that day," says the LORD, "That I will cut off your horses from your midst and destroy your chariots. 11  I will cut off the cities of your land and throw down all your strongholds. 12  I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no soothsayers. 13  Your carved images I will also cut off, and your sacred pillars from your midst; You shall no more worship the work of your hands; 14  I will pluck your wooden images from your midst; thus I will destroy your cities. 15  And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury on the nations that have not heard."

In this case the horse has the meaning of our self-sufficiency being cut off as in some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will trust in the name of the Lord !  I will cut off SORCERIES from you hand and you will have no soothsayers !  So who wins against the drugs and witchcraft in our land ?  The LORD !  HE will conquer and all the idols (carved images) will also be cut off, and all the sacred pillars; those things we trust in instead of HIM.  He will execute vengeance in anger and fury He says on the nations that will not listen. Let's take China for example, as it is quickly becoming more and more of a desert.  I just saw something on that, on the news the other night,on BBC world news.  That is the hand of the Lord in judgment; for prosperity and abundance in crops and herds comes when a nation worships Almighty God.  And although there are millions of good Christians in China, they are under terrible oppression from the leaders of China.  May God bring deliverance for us all.

Micah 7:11-20   NKJV  In that day the decree shall go far and wide. 12  In that day they shall come to you from Assyria and the fortified cities, from the fortress to the River, from sea to sea, and mountain to mountain. 13  Yet the land shall be desolate because of those who dwell in it, and for the fruit of their deeds. 14  Shepherd Your people with Your staff, the flock of Your heritage, who dwell solitarily in a woodland, in the midst of Carmel; Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in days of old. 15 "As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them wonders."

So there will be an ingathering; seas represent the multitudes of peoples and from mountain to mountain…literally and figuratively in that many in authority over nations will come to the Lord in that day.  Yet it says the land will be desolate for those who choose their own way instead of the Lord. And at the end a promise that in this time, just as in old....HE WILL SHOW MANY WONDERS !  Hallelujah !

Micah 7:16 The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; They shall put their hand over their mouth; their ears shall be deaf. 17  They shall lick the dust like a serpent; they shall crawl from their holes like snakes of the earth. They shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of You. 18 Who is a God like You pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage?  He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. 19  He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities.  You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. 20  You will give truth to Jacob and mercy to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers From days of old.

Zephaniah 3:11-20 NKJV  In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds In which you transgress against Me; for then I will take away from your midst those who rejoice in your pride, and you shall no longer be haughty In My holy mountain. 12  I will leave in your midst a meek and humble people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD. 13 The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness and speak no lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they shall feed their flocks and lie down, and no one shall make them afraid."  14  Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel !  Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! 15  The LORD has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; You shall see disaster no more.

There is a day of judgment coming when all the proud will be judged, and the Lord says" in My holy mountain" in HIS CHURCH.  And what will be left will be a meek and humble people who trust in Him. They will be holy; no lying or deceit.  And no one will make them afraid He says. So there is reason for rejoicing, for that day is surely at hand, and the KING OF ISRAEL will be in our midst,  and we will no longer see disaster it says.  There are some who deny that Jews today are Jews.  Well then how could HE promise to rescue them, referencing Abraham & Jacob, if there weren’t any left especially when referring to Israel ?

16  In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: "Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak. 17  The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."

It will be as it was when the disciples walked with their King.  We will be comforted and we will hear His voice more clearly, for He will sing to us and quiet us ; give us peace with His love.  Renewal has been bringing that.  People have had the most awesome experiences of the presence of the Lord, yet many in the church run from it, due to their own pride of not wanting to look different.  What man thinks is more important to some, than God's presence, and that is very sad indeed.  And it is so discomforting for those of us who want MORE of His presence.  The very thing some prayed for, they have now quenched; the Most Holy Spirit in our midst.

Zeph 3:18 "I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, who are among you, to whom its reproach is a burden. 19 Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame, and gather those who were driven out; I will appoint them for praise and fame in every land where they were put to shame. 20 At that time I will bring you back, even at the time I gather you; for I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I return your captives before your eyes," Says the LORD.

What a beautiful promise the Lord gives to those who have wept for the church, to whom its' reproach has burdened their hearts.  There are so many I know who have been in this placeand the Lord says I WILL DEAL WITH THOSE WHO AFFLICT YOU.  I WILL GATHER THOSE WHO'VE BEEN DRIVEN OUT OF THE ASSEMBLY. And I will give you, He says, fame and praise among the peoples of the earth when I return the captives before your eyes.  We will see it.

Haggai 2:23 NKJV
'In that day,' says the LORD of hosts, 'I will take you, Zerubbabel My servant, the son of Shealtiel,' says the LORD, 'and will make you as a signet ring; for I have chosen you,' says the LORD of hosts."

When Pharoah gave Joseph authority, he gave him his signet ring, thus it stands for great authority.
Zerubbabel has this meaning:
OT:2216 Zerubbabel (zer-oob-baw-bel'); from OT:2215 and OT:894; descended from Babylon,
OT:2215  zarab (zaw-rab'); a primitive root; to flow away: KJV-wax warm.
OT:894  Babel (baw-bel'); from OT:1101; confusion; Babel (i.e. Babylon), including Babylonia and the Babylonian empire: KJV-Babel, Babylon.

Then He says, He will take him who has descended from Babylon, who is already His servant with the world's values, and make him the son of Shealtiel.  Shealtiel means" I have asked God."  Below are the roots of Shealtiel and by connotation the intercessors ; those who require, and inquire of God.  So the Lord will draw to those who are true sons of God, who seek His face, those who are in the world and make them to walk in authority.

OT:7592 sha'al (shaw-al'); or sha'el (shaw-ale'); a primitive root; to inquire; by implication, to request; by extension, to demand: KJV-ask (counsel, on), beg, borrow, lay to charge, consult, demand, desire, X earnestly, enquire, + greet, obtain leave, lend, pray, request, require, + salute, X straitly, X surely, wish.
OT:410 'el (ale); shortened from OT:352; strength; as adjective, mighty; especially the Almighty (but used also of any deity):

Those who truly have relationship with the Lord are those He can trust to disciple those who will be harvested from the world.
Zechariah 2:10-13 NKJV  "Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst," says the LORD. 11  Many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and they shall become My people.  And I will dwell in your midst.  Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you. 12  And the LORD will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem. 13 Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!"

There is a day coming when the Lord will enter the church and all who serve Him, and the result will be a great harvest;  many nations will be joined to the Lord in that day.  And HE will dwell among us; Emmanuel, God with us.  We will know that the Lord of Hosts has sent Him to me means; there will be a great display of His power and authority in the earth. The Lord will take possession of what is HIS, including Israel.  BE SILENT, it says, for the Lord is aroused from heaven....Hallelujah!

Zech 3:10 NKJV  ' In that day,' says the LORD of hosts, 'Everyone will invite his neighbor under his vine and under his fig tree.' "

We will reach out to those around us and invite them into the house of the Lord.

Zech 9:16-17  NKJV   The LORD their God will save them in that day, as the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over His land-- 17  For how great is its goodness and how great its beauty!  Grain shall make the young men thrive, and new wine the young women.

Divine restoration is coming oh people of God, and we will be made LIKE the jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over HIS LAND.  The FAVOR of the Lord will be upon us. The GLORY will be SEEN on us, and the GOODNESS of the Lord will be evident in all of us, and we will prosper.  Isaiah says we will grow FAT like stall-fed calves which means fat like oily, anointed with His goodness, His love, His power.

Zech 12:1 4 NKJV
The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2  "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.  3  And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.   4 In that day," says the LORD, "I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

5  And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the LORD of hosts, their God.' 6 "In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place--Jerusalem. 7 "The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. 8  In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them. 9  It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

The Lord will deliver Judah first, (Judah means praise-the worshipers of God)  He says, and in that day, the Lord will be the Defender of all in the house of the Lord. It says the house of David shall be LIKE GOD, like the ANGEL of the Lord, who is Jesus; therefore like JESUS!  Praying Hyde, Kathryn Kuhlman, Hudson Taylor, all saw a restoration of apostolic power in the end times.  That is what is being talked about here - the House of David, those who are worshippers of God, will be like the Angel of the Lord - JESUS HIMSELF.  The ministry of the Lamb will go forth in the earth.

10  "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. 11  In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12  And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13  the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves.

Israel is included in this promise as we are one with the vine we are grafted in together, Jew and Gentile; ONE in Yeshuah.  Hallelujah ! That time is coming soon.

Zechariah 13 NKJV   "In that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

There is the promise of the Savior, the Lamb of God Who took away the sins of the world, the Fountain is the Lord.

Part of Matthew Henry's commentary on this is: “A fountain; for there is in them an inexhaustible fullness. There is mercy enough in God, and merit enough in Christ, for the forgiving of the greatest sins and sinners, upon gospel-terms. Such were some of you, but you are washed, 1 Cor 6:11. Under the law there were a brazen laver and a brazen sea to wash in; those were but vessels, but we have a fountain to ourselves, overflowing, ever-flowing.

Zech 13:2 "It shall be in that day," says the LORD of hosts, "that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they shall no longer be remembered.  I will also cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to depart from the land. 3  It shall come to pass that if anyone still prophesies, then his father and mother who begot him will say to him, 'You shall not live, because you have spoken lies in the name of the LORD.'  And his father and mother who begot him shall thrust him through when he prophesies.
4  "And it shall be in that day that every prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies; they will not wear a robe of coarse hair to deceive. 5  But he will say, 'I am no prophet, I am a farmer; for a man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.'  6 "And one will say to him, 'What are these wounds between your arms?'   Then he will answer, 'Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.'

The prophets He is speaking about here are FALSE prophets, as He is removing the UNCLEAN, separating the profane from the divine. So those that speak out of an unclean spirit shall be cut off. Then in verse 6, it says  people will ask the question, "what are these wounds between your arms?  What is between the arms - the chest, the heart, and they will say,  those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends - which happens to true prophets as well, but he has been speaking of the false prophets and

Matthew Henry says re: Zech 13:6 “But here is another who was reduced by stripes, and so prevented the capital punishment; and he had the sense and honesty to own that they were his friends, his real friends, who thus wounded him, that they might reclaim him; for faithful are the wounds of a friend, Prov 27:6.
Some good interpreters, observing how soon this comes after the mention of Christ's being pierced, think that these are the words of that great prophet, not of the false prophet spoken of before. Christ was wounded in his hands, when they were nailed to the cross, and, after his resurrection, he had the marks of these wounds; and here he tells how he came by them; he received them as a false prophet, for the chief priests called him a deceiver, and upon that account would have him crucified; but he received them in the house of his friends-the Jews, who should have been his friends; for he came to his own, and, though they were his bitter enemies, yet he was pleased to call them his friends, as he did Judas (Friend, wherefore hast thou come?) because they forwarded his sufferings for him; as he called Peter Satan-an adversary, because he dissuaded him from them. Considering what comes next,  this latter explanation is the true meaning”

Zech 13:7  "Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion, "Says the LORD of hosts. "Strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; then I will turn My hand against the little ones. 8  And it shall come to pass in all the land, "Says the LORD, "That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, but one- third shall be left in it: 9  I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them.  I will say, 'This is My people'; And each one will say, 'The LORD is my God.' "
Again here the application again changes, as suddenly He is talking about the remnant; that two thirds are cut off and die and this is in reference to end times. And the remnant is brought through the fire and refined as silver and gold.  True surrender to Jesus is accompanied by refinement, by healing and deliverance that is wrought through testings and tribulations, through suffering and loss, as well as through ministry of the body.  God has HIS ways of dealing with what we hide from others of our true nature.

Zechariah 14 NKJV Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, and your spoil will be divided in your midst. 2   For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished.  Half of the city shall go into captivity, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3  Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle.

Ps 125:2-3 NKJV  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. 3  For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
Zechariah continues...
Zech 14:4  And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east.  And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south.

Herein is the prophecy of the 2nd coming of Jesus...He will stand on the Mount of Olives and it will split in two.

Zech 14:5  Then you shall flee through My mountain valley, for the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus the LORD my God will come, and all the saints with You. 6 It shall come to pass in that day that there will be no light; the lights will diminish.
7  It shall be one day which is known to the LORD--Neither day nor night. But at evening time it shall happen that it will be light. 8 And in that day it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea; In both summer and winter it shall occur. 9  And the LORD shall be King over all the earth.  In that day it shall be--"The LORD is one,"  and His name one. 10  All the land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Benjamin's Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananeel to the king's winepresses.  11  The people shall dwell in it; and no longer shall there be utter destruction, but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

Below is something that sounds like NUCLEAR WAR - eyes dissolving in their sockets, and their tongues dissolving ?

Zech 14:12 And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.
13  It shall come to pass in that day that a great panic from the LORD will be among them. Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor, and raise his hand against his neighbor's hand; 14  Judah also will fight at Jerusalem. And the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be gathered together: Gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance. 15  Such also shall be the plague on the horse and the mule, on the camel and the donkey, and on all the cattle that will be in those camps. So shall this plague be.

Everyone will seize the hand of his neighbor and raise his hand against his neighbor sounds like they will fight against each other like at the time of Gideon, when his enemies destroyed each other.  The wealth of the wicked will then come to the righteous in God.

Zech 14:16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17  And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain. 18  If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 19  This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Here is the millennial reign of Christ on earth as all nations will go to worship Him, and all  will keep the Feast of Tabernacles...that is we will all tabernacle with God in that day.

Zech 14:20  In that day "HOLINESS TO THE LORD" shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. The pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21  Yes, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holiness to the LORD of hosts. Everyone who sacrifices shall come and take them and cook in them. In that day there shall no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Every pot is us - we shall be holy as He is holy. There will be no Canaanites in the house of the Lord, meaning, no one who does not acknowledge Him and surrender to Jesus, will be allowed in the House of the Lord.

Mal 3:1-6 NKJV  "Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight.  Behold, He is coming, "Says the LORD of hosts. 2  "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like launderer's soap. 3  He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver;  He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the LORD an offering in righteousness.

Again there is the purifying theme in the Lord coming and purging His threshing floor - purifying our hearts and minds so that we can walk in righteousness, and  receive His glory and do His mighty deeds.

4  "Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasant to the LORD, as in the days of old, as in former years. 5  And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, and against those who turn away an alien--Because they do not fear Me, "Says the LORD of hosts. 6  "For I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

Hallelujah!  He will be a swift witness against sorcerers, adulterers, perjurors, those who commit usury and cheat the poor in wages, who cheat widows and orphans, and those who turn away an alien. May God have mercy on the United States for all of this in our nation.

Mal 3:16-17 NKJV  Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD and who meditate on His name.
17  "They shall be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "On the day that I make them My jewels.  And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him." 18  Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

Praise the Lord that this is coming, and that our hearts will be purged of all sin & compromise, that we could once again have true discernment in the church. There is so much lack of discernment now, but when He manifests His glory to us we will be changed.  He says, on the day I make them My jewels - compare this to Isaiah 60 where it says the glory of the Lord will be SEEN upon us.   Soon the Lord is coming as Bridegroom into the church and we will see ushered in, another apostolic time such as never has been seen.  The greater things are coming and we will be filled with JOY inexpressible and overflowing.

Mal 4:1-6 NKJV
"For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble.  And the day which is coming shall burn them up, "Says the LORD of hosts, "that will leave them neither root nor branch. 2  But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings;  And you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. 3  You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,  "Says the LORD of hosts.
4  "Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 5  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.  6  And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse."

The ministry of the spirit of Elijah has begun, I have seen it in working with parents and their teens...the Lord coming and healing relationships and turning their hearts toward one another. We are the generation with the young children and youth that will prepare the way for the second coming. The SON is arising with healing in His wings and we will take this healing to the nations and bring in harvest, as well as to the streets of our cities.  And we will be hated for His name sake by those who oppose HIM.

Luke 6:23-31 NKJV
23  Rejoice in that day and leap for joy!  For indeed your reward is great in heaven, for in like manner their fathers did to the prophets. 24 "But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. 25 Woe to you who are full, for you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.  26  Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for so did their fathers to the false  prophets.

The woes of  Jesus are serious indeed and give the connotation of those satisfied with the things of this life, but apathetic to the needs of others. Unfortuneately, much of the church is in this position.  We will give as long as it doesn't really cost us anything. I have been there and have been as guilty as anyone, but God wants us to be better than this...to be like HIM.  We are our brothers' keeper and need to give even when it hurts. And ask for the grace to give joyfully and the last woe is a warning against the love of accolade and recognition of men.  It is a false assurance at best.

27  "But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28  bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29  To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. 30  Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31  And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

Here is the true gospel and love of God. LOVE YOUR ENEMIES  how hard that is, for sometimes our enemies are those of our own households as the Lord predicted and if we can't even love them how can we love others? Bless those who curse you HE says that sure is opposite of our flesh and the world but all of life is about learning this kind of love the unconditional LOVE of the Father God. There are many who think they have the right to rub our noses in the dirt and accuse. It is often hard to do what Jesus says: Jesus says if someone hits you offer your other cheek, If someone steals from him don't withhold anything you have, GIVE TO EVERYONE WHO ASKS OF YOU!  Did HE mean it? Of course He meant it. He is able to replace anything you really need. Then the golden rule as you want men to treat you, then treat them the same !!!
Believe me, I am not perfect at it. I get tired and when I get tired, I get grumpy. But that is the sure test of our fruit,  Jesus said to judge by the fruit in a person's life not the externals, not the gifts you see in them.  In the living out of this, we all fail but JESUS loves us anyhow so can't we do that for others ?  That is forbearance to put up with the weaknesses and inabilities of others.  We certainly need HIS LOVE for this.  HE is the source of whatever we are unable to do. So if we just ask when we don't have it to give He will help us, and supply the GRACE we need.

Luke 10:8-12 NKJV
8  Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. 9  And heal the sick there, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.' 10 But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, 11  The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.' 12  But I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.

Luke 17:28-33 NKJV   Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29  but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30  Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. 31  In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32  Remember Lot's wife. 33  Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

2 Thess 1:6-10 NKJV…since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, 7  and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8  in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9  These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10  when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.

Notice here that those included in judgment are NOT just the wicked in the world, but those who do not OBEY the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Why would He hold someone ignorant of the gospel responsible for it's obedience? Yet many think because they sit in a pew on Sunday and meet the Sabbath obligation, they will escape His judgments, when He clearly says that judgment begins in the House of the Lord.  So the Lord has been preparing those who will listen for His coming into the church, and for His coming in the air, that as many as will turn to Him for healing and deliverance will be saved from the wrath to come, and be able to help bring in the end-times harvest.
Father, I ask that you open the eyes of the blind. Unless You do that, none of us would be able to see our errors.  Father, have mercy on those who have not been able to come from FEAR bind all the fear and pride that keeps men and women from coming to you and exposing their hearts to You Lord, Deliver us all from our fears and insecurities, from our pride and vanities, from all the sins of our flesh and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake !  In Jesus' name AMEN !
