The Kiss

"Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth."
What is it about kissing? It is so intimate. When you kiss a lover it's like nothing exists except you two, and you get caught up (raptured?) in the sublime transcendence of love. Transported beyond.
This is the kiss of lovers. With this kind of kiss there is no passivity, no lukewarmness, no holding back. Your heart is totally open to His, and His to yours. Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth. Let Him.
Let me feel the special oneness that a kiss expresses. Let me get away to a private place with my lover, Jesus, and may my heart be lifted to the heavens as I am enraptured by the joy filled bliss of Your consuming Presence.
Enable me to respond to Your kiss, Lord. Melt any frigidity of my heart. May my youth be renewed as the eagle. Spiritual youth, enabled to soar. I WANT TO FLY, LORD.
If you lose the kiss, you've really lost everything. Nothing can replace it. What is hunger? Hunger is desire. Fill my heart with desire for You and You alone. Lust is perverted hunger. Transform my lust, all lust, into holy desire for You, Jesus. "Come, desire of nations, come -- fix in us Your
humble home... "
Without Him, nothing has any real meaning. Like when you're in love. The world is colored by your love. Everything is pale in comparison to Him. He is the bright, morning star. He is the one whose love shines in my heart. And mine in His.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
