Soul Travail

The harvest is coming and we need to be able to birth them in, In this teaching I want to share with you about soul travail. What it is and I want to give you some keys to loosing souls in the heavens using the word of the Lord. I know this will help equip you in intercessory evangelism.

Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? [or] shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Isa 66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut [the womb]? saith thy God.

Ga 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.

In order for us to really be effective in praying for the harvest there must be work, travail, fervency, weeping and pain. But before we can birth and travail the way God has called us to pray we first have to be pregnant with Gods heart. If you are not full of the passion and burden of Gods heart for harvest we will only pray out of duty and not desperation.

I have seen my wife in labor and it was not without sweat, all that she was, tears and groans brought forth the joy of our children. In the above passage you can see that Paul was in this kind of burden and intercession for the ones that were his labor in the Lord. Paul states that he was birthing again, there must have been a place where he had birthed before these precious souls into Gods kingdom.

In China where there has been up to 25,000 souls a day being saved those great saints in the midst of great persecution even death have arose as early as four in the morning. I have seen a video of the underground church as many as hundreds packed like sardines into one house shaking, weeping, moaning as in great agony over the state of souls that have not yet come to Christ. I believe that when we ask for this spirit of prayer we too will begin to truly snatch lost souls out of hell!!

A great reference to this kind of intercession which is not just for souls can be found in this great passage of scripture. In first Kings ch 18 verse 1 the word of the lord comes unto Elijah, he has a word from God that the rain is about to fall. Further into this text you see the prophet on top of mount Carmel with his face bowed between knees a picture of birthing. Elijah continues in this fervent act of intercession 7 times until there was a rain cloud the size of a mans hand. Elijah was pregnant with the word of the Lord for he said I here the sound of the abundance of rain. That sound was in his spirit.

The second key in soul travail that I want to share with is first found in these two promises of God.

Ac 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Ex 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth [day] of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of [their] fathers, a lamb for an house: One lamb was sufficient for the deliverance of the whole household.

We have the right to have harvest especially in our house. So why then is there so many souls that have not come. Lets look at these two texts.

2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

In every believer there is a spirit that has an assignment to keep your house from coming to Christ and we need to learn in the spirit to take authority and open the prison for those oppressed.

Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound.

In this passage of scripture God continually uses the word me, the Spirit of the Lord is upon me to open the prison. proclaim liberty to the captives. I believe that there is a place where we stop asking God to give us what he told us to take. There is a place where we recognize that we have a enemy to the harvest God wants to give us, rise up in the spirit say Joe I set you free in Jesus name. Come forth you who sit in darkness. I command you devil binding Joe to loose him to see. I lay hold of Joe in the spirit and I open his eyes to see. Lazarus come forth!! When we begin to take the authority and become pregnant with Gods heart and travail the harvest call them in it will come Praise God.
